About the Job
Molex, located in St. Petersburg, Florida, is currently seeking a production floater to join our team. The Production Floater is a versatile team member who supports various production tasks as needed, ensuring smooth operations, and addressing any immediate needs on the production floor. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and communication skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Shifts: Monday-Thursday (6:00am-4:30pm OR 4:00pm-2:30am)
What You Will Do
- Support and assist different production lines during peak times or when extra help is needed.
- Actively support and/or participate in our Molex Quality and Environmental systems by following our safety guidelines, 5s and work procedures.
- Monitor product quality and report any issues to the relevant supervisor. Perform visual inspections and utilize measuring tools to identify defects in parts.
- Coordinate with Lead and supervisor to carry out planning schedule and complete orders on time.
- Use our Daily Management tools, MII, SAP and Mevisio to review schedule, confirm parts produce, scrap, and equipment overall performance.
- Operate various production equipment safely and efficiently as required such as the following: vibratory finishing machines, annealing oven, brazing lines, barrel plate loose or strip parts using equipment operation to achieve Tin plating application.
- Support on the weekly equipment PM's from operators
- Continuously learn new skills and processes to support different areas of production.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship

- Experience working in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, industrial, military, or agriculture environment
- Knowledge of safety and compliance protocols for manufacturing
- Knowledge of production processes and equipment
