SUMMARY:
Responsible for technical/production support, of aerospace and aero-derivative gas turbine systems for assigned areas and its applicability to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) businesses.

The successful candidate will will work 20-29 hours a week starting Spring 2025.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/TASKS:
- On-Site, Support for creation of Process and Masking Methods Documentation for the Newnan Repair department.
- Learn part cleaning, grit blasting and shot peening, and coating process, technical principles, equipment operation, operations flow. Engage with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Safety departments to implement process improvements and develop effective procedures/documentation to enforce process improvements.
- Design, develop, and support in-house or OSV manufacturing of masking fixtures for Shot Peening and Grit Blasting. Assess current tooling and fixture management process for improvements in process. Document revised process and establish intervals for inspection and coordinate repairs and sourcing of replacement tooling and fixturing as needed.
- Complete defined router conversions for new EPICOR system. Establish input standards and test various automated computer conversion scripts.
- Learn, develop training materials, and train defined Production Engineers in EPICOR planning module.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Currently enrolled as a college degree seeking student
- Preferred Bachelor majors - Mechanical, Aerospace, or Materials Science
- Prior work experience
- Ability to work onsite for 20 - 29 hours a week during Spring semester.
