**Required Skills:**
Production Engineer Responsibilities:
1. Participate in the design, implementation and ongoing management of major site applications and subsystems.
2. Own back-end services like Hadoop data warehouses, front-end services like Messenger and Newsfeed, infrastructure components like Memcache infrastructure, and everything in between.
3. Write and review code, develop documentation and capacity plans, and debug difficult problems live, on some of the largest and most complex systems in the world.
4. Work together with relevant engineering teams, sharing an on-call rotation for the reliability of service.
5. Partner alongside the best engineers in the industry.
6. Work on code and systems that will be in production and used by millions of users all around the world.
7. Ensure that Facebook's services run smoothly and have the capacity for future growth.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
Minimum Qualifications:
8. Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences, or a related field and 6 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Experience must include 6 months involving the following:
9. Coding in Python
10. TCP/IP network fundamentals and UNIX system concepts
11. Configuration and maintenance of common applications including Apache, NFS, DHCP, NTP, SSH, DNS, or SNMP
12. Software development in a Unix environment.
