Position Summary
The Production Designer role is a member of the Labels Graphics Team (LGT) at Isagenix. The Labels Graphics Team is responsible for creating and maintaining food and supplement product labels that align with branding, regulatory, and production requirements. Production Designers are detail-oriented team players who collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Creative, Product Marketing, Program Management, Product Development, Global Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Supply Chain, and Quality to ensure labels are created accurately and in a timely manner to support both new and existing products.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)
- Create and revise product label files using specifications and content outlined in Label Language Files (LLFs) and complete all necessary steps to prepare them for print production.
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholder label reviews and obtain documented approvals from all required reviewers prior to uploading files to production partners.
- Provide review and proofing support to other Production Designers.
- Collaborate with pre-press partners to proof labels, ensuring they meet pre-press requirements and adhere to color standards, print finishes, dielines, content, layout, and typography dictated within the label file.
- Utilize Standard Operating Procedures, Regulatory Guidelines, Label Style and Brand Identity Guides to create labels and notify management if any deviations are needed.
- Protect sensitive and proprietary information, including but not limited to unreleased information about product launches, product formulas and ingredients.
- Maintain a clear understanding of labeling standards, guidelines, content, requirements, and product portfolio.
- Verify and organize a variety of content assets such as dielines, part numbers, icons, symbols, images, nutritional or dietary supplement information, marketing copy, disclosures, product label language, translation files and ensure all content is correct and current prior to review and upload.
- Create images of Nutritional Facts Panels and other label information for the web.
- Maintain native label files and supplemental label assets, documentation and decisions to ensure adherence to policy, team member accessibility and business continuity.
- Provide support to internal and external stakeholders regarding labeling inquiries, and issue resolution.
- Contribute to inter and intra departmental process improvement projects.
Minimum Qualifications (These are the requirements that all applicants MUST HAVE to be considered for this position)
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
- 1 year of design and/or labeling experience.
- Skilled using Adobe Illustrator and InDesign in Mac OS environment.
- A team player with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Able to autonomously manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Highly detail-oriented and organized.
- Exceptional proof-reading skills.
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or Visual Communications.
- Professional experience in food and supplement labeling.
- Experience designing for print production and coordinating pre-press processes.
- Understanding of pre-press processes including color techniques, digital file formats, document set-up, typography, and print specifications.
