Currently, they are looking to add a Production Coordinator to their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$80k – $90k
Position Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Production Coordinator to ensure bulk production meets quality assurance standards and delivery timelines by effectively planning, scheduling, executing, and directing production activities within the apparel industry.
Responsibilities of the Production Coordinator:
- Communicate daily with overseas factories to address and resolve production issues.
- Create and update WIP reports on a daily basis.
- Provide and approve care instructions and carton sticker submissions from factories.
- Create and maintain pre-costing charts each season before handing them off to the Director of Sourcing.
- Negotiate garment delivery timelines with overseas factories and review them with the Sales team.
- Oversee required testing (ITS, BV) for fabric and garments.
- Create and maintain purchase orders (POs) through SAP.
- Collaborate with designers, sales teams, and factories to ensure timely delivery and quality control for mass production.
- Handle shipment approvals in coordination with the Import department.
Qualifications for the Production Coordinator:
- Minimum of 5 years of garment production experience.
- Proficiency in Excel is required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through
- Able to organize and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
