Primary Purpose:
Responsible for establishing a process that meets the metallurgical and dimensional requirements of internal and external customers. Provides technical support to production operations and leads continuous improvement projects.

Primary Purpose:
Responsible for establishing a process that meets the metallurgical and dimensional requirements of internal and external customers. Provides technical support to production operations and leads continuous improvement projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Start and finish Project on time and within budget.
- Assist Engineers working on large projects.
- Use statistical tools to meet or exceed cost objectives for projects and assigned production parts.
- Research and compile data for problem solving activities.
- Timely completion of First Article and required data for customer packages.
- Some contact with Vendors and Customers.
- Interpret blueprint and drawings to ANSI Y14.5 and Customer specifications.
- Review customer specifications for impact on/applicability to process.
- Designs fixtures, machining criteria, and manufacturing aides or coordinate and oversee Engineering Technician when applicable. Design must be reviewed by the Engineering supervisor a senior engineer.
- Active member in product or process improvement team(s).
- Create MRB documentation for non-conforming product. Review with senior engineer.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to work well with production employees, supervisors, managers and customers.
- Excellent math skills and proficient with use of statistical analysis tools.
- Proficient in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- High degree of organizational skills.
- Able to work effectively and simultaneously on numerous projects.
- Working knowledge of the use of close-tolerance, manual and automatic measuring equipment.
- Familiarity with modern CAD programs (SolidWorks, NX, Catia, etc.)
- B.S. in engineering discipline or equivalent experience
- Must show capability to maintain, or create, and supervise a group of engineers and technicians that are able to perform in a team environment while personal accountability and individual growth is encouraged.
