Description of Duties:
Operate and monitor equipment and replenish materials as needed
Maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned area
Monitor machine operation and control panel displays to detect malfunctions and compare readings to specifications
Visually inspect production run and document results
Maintain inventory control records
Determine and report malfunctions to appropriate parties
Follow all SAFETY rules and procedures
Observe and monitor input/output, accuracy, and efficiency of machine
Calibrate, maintain, and repair machinery and machine tools as needed
Operate manual machinery and oversee automated machines
Ensure products are made to correct specifications by monitoring equipment and verifying per production specs
Responsible for ensuring timely communication and interaction with management
Mount, install, align, and secures tools, attachments and fixtures using hand tools and precision measuring instruments
Confers with Warehouse Manager to resolve machine malfunctions and production errors and obtains approval to continue production
Remove and palletize finished product to ensure product flow is maintained
May be asked to perform other duties
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent or 3+ years of relevant manufacturing experience.
Must be able to follow written and oral instruction
Solid interpersonal skills, mathematical aptitude, mechanical/technical aptitude and logical problem solving skills
Skilled in working independently in a safe and timely manner necessary
Must regard safety as a core value; must serve as role model for other employees and encourage adherence to safety practices, policies and procedures
Must have strong service and quality focus; address issues effectively when problems arise and take initiative to understand root cause, then communicate / education team in a timely manner
Must be able to actively contribute in a team based environment; encourage open communication and positive interaction with peers and management to effectively reach a common goal
Must demonstrate proficiency in essential tasks of the job and a willingness to learn and share knowledge; must take initiative to cross-train and sustain acquired skills
Must have demonstrated record of flexibility and dependability in order to support production and customer focus
Must be able and willing to work overtime, including short-notice requests
Must demonstrate proficiency with computer applications
Must be able to obtain Lift Truck Operator’s license
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
