Production Associate - CNC Heat Treat Operator - Hendrickson USA, L.L.C.

About the Job
Position Purpose:
Operate all Heat Treat Operations in the department
Hourly Pay Range: $16.00 - $19.00
Essential Functions:
• Reads work orders to determine material specifications
• Positions work piece against the stops, push button and depresses pedal to activate machine
• Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunctions
• Identifies soft spots on the cam and report all abnormal conditions to the lead Person or Supervisor
• Stamps parts, verifies stamp is correct and legible and places good pieces in container
• Assembles cams as needed
• Completes work orders correctly and legibly
• Follows written and oral work instruction.
• Works well with supervision and co-workers
• Willingness to run other machines when needed such as but not limited to Hobbs & Rack Roller
• Other duties may be assigned
Education and Training
High School diploma or GED
Minimum Qualifications
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Basic math skills
• Ability to work well with others
Physical Demands
• Ability to stand continuously for 8 - 12 hours
• Ability to work in tight places
• Strength and manual dexterity sufficient to operate tools to make repairs
• Good physical condition to lift up to 20 pounds repetitively
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to twist, bend and lift repetitively
• Ability to stand, crouch and climb to perform repairs, use ladders and perform various types of manual labor
• Good eye/hand coordination and good motor skills
• Visual (with correction) sufficient to read blueprints and orders and the ability to record the information either manually or in a computer
• Demonstrated dependability and adherence to all safety rules and regulations
Environmental Conditions
• Exposure to a noisy work environment
• Exposure to hot and humid conditions
• Exposure to coolants, oils, grease and water
• Ear and Eye protection required at all times in all production areas
• Steel toe boots with integrated metatarsal guards required in production area
