Role Overview:
The Production Assembly Technician will play a vital role in our manufacturing operations, responsible for assembling both mechanical and electrical components of our products. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. The Production Assembly Technician will work closely with the Site Operations & Production Manager and other team members to ensure that our products meet rigorous specifications and are ready for testing and deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Component Assembly: Assemble mechanical parts and integrate electrical systems according to detailed specifications and blueprints.
- Quality Control: Perform thorough inspections and testing of assembled products to ensure they meet quality and performance standards.
- Product Testing Support: Assist in setting up and operating high-power simulators for final product testing, ensuring all units function correctly before deployment.
- Lean & 5S Adherence: Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace in line with Lean principles and 5S methodologies, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Documentation: Accurately record assembly processes, test results, and any discrepancies, providing clear and concise reports to the operations team.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members across departments, including engineering, quality assurance, and logistics, to support seamless production workflows.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or production environment, preferably with exposure to both mechanical and electrical assembly processes.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions. Familiarity with electrical systems and mechanical components.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and quality in all aspects of work.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues during assembly or testing and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Physical Requirements: Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and handling tools and materials.
- Lean & 5S Knowledge: Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and 5S organizational standards is preferred.
- Team Player: Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes, technologies, and methodologies as the company evolves.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in manufacturing, electrical systems, or a related field is a plus.
