Production Assembler - Spherion

Spherion Gainesville, FL has a client looking for several skilled Production Assemblers to join their team in their Alachua, FL facility. There are openings for mechanical and electrical assembly. This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical and/or electrical knowledge with the ability to use power tools effectively. Experience with reading blueprints is necessary. Let's get to work!

Possible temp to hire position

Alachua, FL
Schedule: FT, M-F, 1st and 2nd shifts
Salary: $17 - $19/hr

Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of assembly operations including electrical, welding, and mechanical
- Review specifications to determine assembly and special options
- Check bins for adequate supplies
- Ensures connections for correct fit, parts, and sub-assemblies per specifications
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment
- Other duties as assigned

Working hours: 6:30 AM - 11:30 PM

Skills:
- Excellent troubleshooting skills

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
- High school or GED preferred
- For electrical: Previous experience with low voltage controls systems, automotive/vehicle wiring, any form of AC or DC equipment repair or installations highly preferred
- Know how to read blueprints
- Knowledge of basic hand tools
- Ability to work on mechanics
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
