Sterling Engineering is looking for an entry level product training engineer for a manufacturer/ distributor of electrical components in Germantown, WI. This is a great opportunity to work with a growing company!
Job Duties:
Job Duties:
- Lead or participate in training company customers, distributors, and staff on Automation components and software.
- Conduct remote training programs at customer or distributor locations.
- Collaborate with the training department to ensure consistent learning outcomes.
- Develop and maintain product training materials (manuals, videos) and hardware.
- Design training programs to support corporate sales goals and enhance product knowledge.
- Identify training needs with Regional Sales Managers, Field Application Engineers, and Distributor Manager.
- Interface with product management to integrate new products into training and provide feedback.
- Stay updated on products, industry trends, and competition through internal and external resources.
- Update, present, and evaluate the effectiveness of established training programs.
- Research and implement new methods for delivering training in the field.
- Possess strong organizational, oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Capable of working independently or collaboratively in a team setting.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.
- Minimum 3+ years recent work experience in engineering and/or training in the automation
industry. - Programming experience in C, C++, Ladder Logic, PLC (Allen Bradley OR Siemens), or Structured Text preferred.
- Familiarity with Cloud Services, IIOT, Node-Red, and JSON preferred.
