E-Commerce Merchandising Manager (Inventory Planner by Sage)

JOB SUMMARY
The Product/Merchandising Manager is responsible for developing merchandising strategies for the brand and engage our target audience. The Product/Merchandising Manager is
responsible for preparing compelling product information for the marketing team, sourcing
products, ordering products, analyzing sales figures, customer reactions, and marketing trends
to anticipate product needs. The Product/Merchandising Manager collaborates with buyers,
suppliers, the distribution network, and other company analysts to negotiate prices, quantities
and time-scales. As a company we strive to create a positive, uplifting work environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead a team of Product and Merchandising Specialists including buyers, merchandisers,
sourcing specialists and analysts.
Plan and develop merchandising strategies that balance customers’ expectations and
company’s objectives.
Approve/confirm TOPs (top of production pieces) and be detail oriented about confirming
TOP pieces in a timely manner, confirming color and material match the previous batch
and online photos.
Oversee creation of online profiles (pictures, prices, descriptions, etc.) for products in
collaboration with the marketing team.
Oversee ordering and reordering products.
Analyze sales figures, customers reactions and market trends to anticipate product
needs and plan product ranges/stock quantities.
Return rate analysis/seasonal analysis.
Avoid stock outs – watching early sales levels of products and proactively re-order.
Collaborate with buyers, suppliers, distributors and analysts to negotiate prices,
quantities and time-scales to maximize sales.
Maximize customer interest and sales levels by presenting products appropriately on
website, social media, and other digital platforms.
Produce layout plans for digital marketing and maintain company inventory.
Forecast profits/sales and plan budgets.
Monitor stock movement and consider markdowns, promotions, price changes, clear
outs etc.
Build constructive customer relationships and team with channel partners to build
pipeline and maximize sales.
Remain up to date with industry’s best practices.
REQUIREMENTS/KEY COMPETENCIES:
Demonstrated experience in merchandising, sourcing, and buying in women’s clothing or
related industry.
Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising campaigns
that engage, inform, and motivate.

Salary
120,000 - 150,000 /year
