Overview
The Product Manager is responsible for the products within the Dynabook portfolio, mainly laptops and accessories, but may include services, solutions, and new products or categories developed through the analysis of market trends. This position is also responsible for third-party accessories and services. The product manager is tasked to be the subject matter expert, supporting product marketing, service, engineering, the field sales team, and channel partners.
Responsibilities
- Manage products within the Dynabook portfolio (laptops, accessories, services, and solutions) end-to-end from the concept phase to EOL, committing to the product strategy in North America and South America, while synchronizing with other global regions.
- Differentiate products in the market through effective positioning and message development.
- Define how AI technologies can enhance Dynabook laptops, focusing on features such as productivity tools, security, and predictive maintenance, as an example.
- Collaborate with technology partners like Microsoft to evaluate and integrate AI-driven software solutions to drive market demand for Dynabook products.
- Educate internal teams and customers on the benefits of AI in Dynabook products.
- Work with the sales team to meet with customers and gather regular voice of the customer to provide feedback on needs and trends to both local HQ team as well at Japan based product teams.
- Regularly perform pricing and competitive analysis effectively communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop sales tools that support the selling process of products.
- Provide detailed product training to on-board new hires.
- Work with marketing to create internal and external facing presentations. Present to customers as needed.
- Present content verbally in a variety of formats. These formats include in-person events and meetings, live and pre-recorded webinars, and press briefings.
- Become the subject matter expert with detailed knowledge of the Dynabook portfolio and its competitive products. Provide detailed product and technical specifications for RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
- Kick off projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, set deadlines, and ensure product launch activities and deliverables remain on schedule to successfully launch new products.
- Drive product development of branded accessories. Keep the team on track, ensuring the right products are developed, within all the established program boundaries (features, cost, schedule, quality, etc.).
- Drive relationships with third-party companies to expand the accessory and services portfolio.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years Product Management experience within the Enterprise PC industry.
- Proven track record of successfully launching enterprise products for mature & emerging markets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to present effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Must have a strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task effectively, and a drive for client satisfaction.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented personality who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, both independently as well as part of a team.
- MS Office Proficiency (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, HTML, a plus.

Compensation for this position
The compensation range for this role is $122,000- $176,660. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
