As we continue to expand and innovate, Xactly is seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager to help elevate our enterprise platform and develop new market opportunities that will continue to differentiate Xactly in the competitive Sales Performance Management space.
Position Overview
The Product Marketing Manager - Emerging Products plays a crucial role in the evolution of Xactly's growth and will be responsible for defining and executing go-to-market strategies for Xactly's emerging products that will enable success in the enterprise segment. The ideal candidate will have experience in the sales planning or financial planning domain working for an enterprise software organization. This role will own core product marketing deliverables and focus on driving cross-functional initiatives for pipeline creation, sales cycle acceleration, and working with Xactly's Products teams to focus efforts on activities that increase Xactly’s competitive differentiation. This work will include amplifing emerging product offerings enabled by platform capabilities, shaping resonant messaging, enabling sales, customer success, and solutions consulting teams while maintaining alignment with executive leadership on these initiatives.
Achieving these goals will require collaboration with product, go-to-market, professional services, and Xactly partner teams. A successful candidate will ensure the unique value of Xactly's emerging products is well-positioned to solve real customer challenges, well-understood by all stakeholders, and communicated sonsistently across all touchpoints in the customer journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Positioning & Messaging: Craft clear, differentiated product positioning and messaging that addresses key customer pain points and highlights the value of Xactly’s emerging solutions, particularly focused on Sales Planning personas and processes.
- Sales Enablement: Develop and deliver comprehensive sales enablement materials (presentations, competitive briefs, product collateral, demo scripts) to arm the sales, solutions consulting, and customer success teams with the tools they need to effectively communicate Xactly’s value to customers.
- Content Development: Create high-impact content, including white papers, blogs, webinars, and solution briefs, to support demand generation and thought leadership initiatives.
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Guide the GTM strategy for Xactly's emerging product offerings, identifying opportunities to penetrate new markets, define core personas, and differentiate against competitors. Collaborate with sales, customer success, and product teams to develop cohesive plans for customer adoption and growth.
- Customer Advocacy & Use Cases: Work closely with Sales teams to identify and develop compelling customer stories, case studies, and use cases that demonstrate the success of Xactly’s solutions in enterprise environments.
- Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Conduct continuous market research to fully understand customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape. Translate these insights into refined product positioning and influence product development.
- Persona & Market Research: Conduct detailed persona research to define user needs, pain points, and buying behaviors.
- Product Launches: Lead new product launches and feature releases, collaborating with Product Management, Sales, and Marketing teams to ensure launches and releaseas are coordinated to support successful go-to-market strategy.
- Collaboration with Product Management: Partner with Product Management to ensure that product roadmaps align with market demands and customer feedback. Communicate market insights and product feedback to help shape product development priorities.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in product marketing, product management, solution consulting, or a related role within an enterprise software company.
- Industry Expertise: Strong understanding of sales planning, financial planning, human capital planning, or similar areas within the enterprise space.
- Proven track record of developing and executing go-to-market strategies for enterprise software or platform solutions, and working with customers, professional services, and global system integrators (GSIs) to execute on these strategies.
- Core PMM Skills: Proven track record in core product marketing responsibilities such as positioning, messaging, go-to-market strategy, sales enablement, and product launches.
- Sales & Customer Enablement: Demonstrated experience in creating enablement tools and resources to drive sales success in complex enterprise environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to a range of audiences.
- Experience creating and delivering compelling marketing materials, including market-facing presentations, case studies, solution brochures, and video or webinar content.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience conducting market research and competitive analysis to inform product strategy.
- Deep understanding of enterprise personas, user journeys, and sales cycles, with the ability to align messaging to customer pain points.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field; MBA or advanced technical degree is a plus.

The compensation range is specific to the posted job location and role and takes into account the wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, performance, and market and peer comparisons. Salary ranges allow for growth opportunities as the employee develops new skills and/or hones current skills. A reasonable range estimate is USD 130,000 to 160,000 base salary plus applicable bonus.
