Position Overview
SiteOne’s Product Marketing team is seeking a product marketing intern to assist in providing support for key private label product launch and ongoing private brand/product management projects.
This person’s passion for product or brand marketing (along with interest in the green industry) combined with their ability to synthesize technical information into digestible product messaging will help the product marketing team better support and position SiteOne’s private label brands before the critical Fall EOP and Tradeshow season. This role reports to the Sr. Product Marketing Manager and is a part of the Product Marketing Team.
Responsibilities
- Auditing Product Collateral Collections across the core Private Label Product Portfolio and identifying gaps in critical supporting product collateral.
- Drafting product launch announcements, contributing to various marketing/sales collateral development efforts
- Organizing and Maintaining product collateral on the intranet/SLICE “product info central” hub
- Writing for email newsletters, promotional emails, educational articles, product descriptions, landing pages
- Create compelling titles, headlines and copy for all content based on content type
- Coordinating efforts with cross functional teams (Category Management, Integrated Marketing, Divisional Marketing, Digital) as necessary
- Ensure all content is high-quality, up-to-date and consistent with brand and style guidelines
- Rewrite content or write from scratch depending on assignment requirements
- Proofread and edit content for mistakes or additional ideas and guarantee that it is composed per directions, including from other writers, providing feedback when necessary
- Organize stakeholder review of content produced
- Ensure deadlines are met and provide follow ups to stakeholders if needed
- Coordinate organization of content in various locations
- Conducting interviews with subject matter experts when required
- Other duties as assigned
- Job Requirements
- Self-motivated team player with the ability to manage time strategically
- Willingness to learn about industry-specific products and transform technical information into engaging content
- Passion for product/brand marketing and thinking from a customer perspective
- Strong communication, relational, and technical presentation skills
- Superb writing abilities in various styles/tones with accurate spelling and grammar
- Strict adherence to brand guidelines and company policy
- Ability to quickly learn and follow workflow processes and procedures
- EST time zone preferred
Experience
- Actively pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in marketing, entrepreneurship, business administration, PR/communications, or related field.
- Experience in a marketing role or previous internship encouraged but not required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite – particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Experience with project management workflow tools like Lytho encouraged but not required.
- Experience working in a corporate setting encouraged but not required.
