Position: Product Manager – Banking Products
Experience Required: 15-20+ years of exp including 15+ years in Product Ownership/Management, 10+ years in the Banking Domain
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy and Ownership:
• Define the vision and roadmap for core banking products, including payments, credit cards, deposits, mortgages, collections, autos, personal loans and mobile applications.
• Align product strategies with business goals, market trends, and evolving customer expectations.
• Monitor competitor offerings and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge.
End-to-End Product Management:
• Oversee the lifecycle of banking products from ideation to launch, including enhancements post-launch.
• Prioritize features and updates, balancing customer needs, regulatory compliance, and business objectives.
• Manage cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of product milestones.
Digital Banking Transformation:
• Drive innovation in mobile and online banking platforms, ensuring intuitive and secure member experiences.
• Collaborate with technology teams to integrate emerging technologies like APIs, AI, and advanced payment solutions.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
• Work closely with stakeholders across business units, including payments, lending, deposits, and IT, to align product initiatives.
• Partner with marketing and sales teams to ensure successful product launches and member adoption.
Team Leadership and Development:
• Mentor and lead a team of product owners, analysts, and other team members to deliver high-quality banking solutions.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Key Banking Products to Oversee:
• Payments: Digital payments, real-time payments, and bill pay solutions.
• Credit Cards: Card issuance, rewards programs, and transaction security enhancements.
• Deposits: Savings, checking, certificates of deposit, and related digital onboarding features.
• Mortgages: Loan origination systems, member journeys, and process digitization.
• Mobile App: User-friendly features, cross-channel integrations, and ongoing app performance improvements.
Qualifications and Experience:
Experience:
• 15+ years in Product Management or Product Ownership.
• 10+ years of experience in the banking or financial services industry, with deep expertise in core banking products.
Skills and Expertise:
• Comprehensive knowledge of banking products (payments, credit cards, deposits, mortgages, and mobile apps).
• Experience in Agile methodologies, backlog prioritization, sprint planning, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Expertise in digital transformation, fintech solutions, and customer journey enhancements.
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• Certifications such as CSPO, SAFe Product Owner, PMP, or similar are a plus.
Leadership:
• Proven ability to lead and mentor diverse teams.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
