PLEASE NOTE: This position is a remote position, however, a primary residence in California is required prior to starting at CHLA.
Purpose Statement/Position Summary: Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) is on a multi-year transformation journey to improve the quality, effectiveness, and convenience of care delivery, through the creation and delivery of innovative products. Under the direction of the VP, Chief Digital & Transformation Officer, the Transformation team will innovate and develop new products and deliver them to key end-users within CHLA through multiple channels. These initiatives are aligned with key strategic enterprise priorities for CHLA. The Senior Product Manager is responsible for managing key transformation initiatives (end-to-end lifecycle), from ideation to implementation. This includes defining project requirements and objectives and collaborating with crossfunctional teams to develop and deliver solutions efficiently. The Senior Product Manager ensures projects align with enterprise strategic priorities, defines key performance indicators (KPIs) for success, and prioritizes project tasks and resources. To make informed decisions, the Senior Product Manager conducts research to evaluate the best practices and leverages data analytics to monitor project performance and identify areas for improvement. This involves developing and implementing data analytics strategies, analyzing project data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and proactively addressing performance bottlenecks. This role is responsible for the design, execution, and outcomes of projects that support transformation priorities. This includes developing the project plan and timeline, managing project budgets and resources, and tracking progress against milestones. The Senior Product Manager will partner with key internal stakeholders (e.g., Information Services, Legal, Risk, Marketing & Communications) and external stakeholders (e.g., technology vendors) to execute and deliver projects successfully. Throughout the project lifecycle, the Senior Product Manager continuously monitors performance, identifies and addresses deviations from the plan, and proactively implements corrective actions to ensure successful product delivery. This includes actively seeking feedback from stakeholders, conducting post-product evaluations to identify lessons learned, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. The Senior Product Manager expertly uses Agile, Design Thinking and Lean/Six Sigma/Performance Improvement methodologies, as needed, to effectively manage project execution,
while maintaining relationships with vendors and ultimately owning the project outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:
Required: 5 years of professional experience in Healthcare Performance Improvement/Operations and/or Healthcare Product Management.
Preferred:
• Understanding of Clinical Workflows: Experience working in a hospital setting that has led to familiarity
with how care is delivered in a hospital, including patient journeys, reimbursement economics, provider
needs, and operational challenges.
• Enterprise-Wide Performance Improvement Expertise: Proven track record of driving operational
efficiency, enhancing care quality, and achieving measurable outcomes through the implementation of
performance improvement initiatives and/or digital products
• Data Analytics Skills: Ability to work with healthcare data, understand KPIs, and measure the impact of
products on patient care and hospital operations.
• End-to-End Product Lifecycle Management: Experience in the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and
development to launch and iteration.
Education/Licensure/Certification:
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in STEM or related field
Preferred: Master of Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Public Health, or Product Development.

Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
