About the Job
A Product Manager for Voting Systems is responsible for developing and implementing product roadmaps and ensuring that market and customer requirements are met for assigned products. This position works across functions to ensure continuity in product offering and go-to-market goals. The Product Manager is responsible for adhering to and promoting the company values by performing duties in a manner that is consistent with being a team leader who supports the achievement of company objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Function as the product and target market subject matter expert (SME) by having a thorough understanding of the positioning and interaction of assigned products within the portfolio and their integration with other product offerings that promotes achievement of the strategic plan.
- Actively contributes to the strategic planning process for assigned products including but not limited to conducting market research, customer interaction, competitive research, tracking legislative activities and tracking technology trends. Effectively shares this information across the organization with particular focus on the sales, account management and marketing teams.
- Collaborates across the company to define project scope and prepare business cases to build and enhance product offerings to populate product roadmaps. Includes revenue, expense and contribution margin analysis.
- Works closely with all departments participating in the product development, certification and delivery processes to ensure that business cases are being fulfilled and that product related project questions and issues are addressed.
- Manage the product lifecycle through all stages including active, mature, sunset and end of life to ensure company financial and performance objectives are being met.
- Work with the Business Analysts to initiate high level business requirements that frame the capabilities to be included in new products and enhancements to existing products.
- Assess and make recommendations with respect to partner relationships for the product.

Qualifications:
Education: Must have a bachelor’s degree in business or technology or equivalent experience
Experience:
At least 5 years experience including:
Direct experience with product management and product development processes.
Management of complex software and hardware products in a technology environment.
Familiarity with business analysis processes is highly desired.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment which routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, and photocopiers.

Travel: Approximately 20% travel is expected.
