Position Overview
As a Product Manager, you will work closely with and report directly to the VP of Product to execute on the product roadmap, prioritize features, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver value to our customers. You are a highly organized and execution-focused Product Manager who thrives on working closely with technical teams. This role focuses on balancing daily tasks with a strong alignment to the product’s long-term goals. You will learn all aspects of our multifaceted product offerings and will look for ways to refine our unique two-sided digital marketplace. You will work with engineering, design, and marketing teams to ensure successful product releases while continuously iterating based on user feedback.
Responsibilities
Product Execution: Own the product development lifecycle for specific features, from ideation to release.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, and marketing to develop product features that align with company objectives and customer needs.
Technical Comprehension: Lead the tactical execution of product initiatives, ensuring alignment between product vision and the day-to-day technical tasks
Technical Bridge: Serve as the liaison between high-level product strategy and the technical execution, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of key product milestones.
Customer-Centric Focus: Gather and analyze customer feedback and market research to prioritize features and ensure the product meets user needs.
Backlog Management: Write and prioritize user stories for engineering teams, define acceptance criteria, and manage the product backlog along with other PMs.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Use analytics and metrics to measure product performance, monitor key KPIs, and inform decisions on future enhancements.
Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate progress, challenges, and next steps to internal stakeholders and external partners.
Problem Solving: Quickly identify and resolve issues during the development process, ensuring timely delivery of features.

Qualifications
3-5 years of product management experience, ideally within a small tech or startup environment.
Strong track record of developing and launching successful products of varying sizes.
Strong experience in developing and managing backlogs, writing detailed epics, and prioritizing work for scrum teams.
Experience in developing and implementing product prioritization frameworks based on data-driven hypotheses, validation, and measurement.
Experience working with Jira, Notion, Figma, HubSpot, SendGrid or similar project management and marketing platforms.
Lead the tactical execution of product initiatives, ensuring alignment between product vision and the day-to-day technical tasks.
Serve as the bridge between high-level product strategy and the technical execution, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of key product milestones.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally without hesitation.
Highly organized and self-motivated.
Takes initiative and can sniff for clues when solving problems.
Customer-focused mindset, with a proven ability to translate user needs into actionable product features.
Preferred Skills
Experience in SaaS or cloud-based product management.
Familiarity with A/B testing, data analytics tools, or user research methods.
Knowledge of UX/UI principles and user-centric design.
An eye for product design and ability to quickly materialize thoughts into sketches or visuals in order to better convey ideas.
Experience understanding and training AI large language models to extract desired outputs.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
- the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
