Job Description:
Our client, a private mutual insurance company, provides property and casualty insurance across the Midwest, Northwest and Southwest United States. Due to growth, they are seeking a Product Implementation Manager to lead a team of product analysts. The Product Implementation Manager will have the opportunity to offer guidance, establish methodologies and create formal structures for assigned projects. This position is hybrid in Minnesota.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with leaders across the enterprise to ensure successful implementation of multi-faceted product initiatives and business process efficiencies. Ensure self and team members have sufficient understanding of automation platforms to bridge any gaps that may exist between end-users and development resources. The team serves as subject matter experts for automation platforms.
- Lead the product implementation team to ensure predictable, consistent and successful delivery by standardizing, applying, and optimizing requirement elicitation and identification of test case scenarios.
- Provide strategic business impact assessment across product, program and enterprise initiatives to ensure efforts are consistent with and achieve company objectives.
- Identify opportunities to deliver business value through business process improvement, organizational change or technology integration.
- Develop and implement best practices to ensure all implementation functions are fully documented, supportable, repeatable and are in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Participate in strategic planning, resource management and budgeting.
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Make decisions that significantly impact the results of the assigned business unit.
- Recommend and implement industry best practices.
- Interpret and execute policies and guidelines.
- Develop plans that break down larger initiatives into smaller, manageable tasks.
- Use knowledge and resources to find solutions to problems.
- Identify and analyze patterns from partial or conflicting data to find solutions.
- Regularly interact with multiple levels of organizational management and employees across the company.
Requirements:
- Property and casualty insurance experience (personal lines or commercial lines)
- Prior experience leading requirements gathering, analysis, user journeys, value streams, test scenario identification and user acceptance testing
- Proven ability to lead high-performing teams, including coaching or training in a formal setting
- Ability to build and maintain relationships, including serving as a communication bridge between technical and business audiences
- Strong problem-solving, planning, negotiation and execution skills
- Strong leadership, organization and facilitation skills
- Bachelor’s degree or in lieu of degree
- Proficiency with various core systems, office and computer equipment, and software packages
- Expertise with tools used for project management, software development life cycle or organizational development
- Understanding of insurance terminology and systems
- IIBA or PMP designation (preferred)
- CPCU or similar industry certification a plus
