Job Summary:
As Product Engineer you will have the opportunity to define and implement latest data center and server technologies, and to create proof of concepts and technical feature paper presentations to differentiate Supermicro product through online and at various industry events. You will also be the go-to person for product managers and system engineers to be the subject of matter expert in application benchmarks specifically in network, database, and virtualization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
• Familiar with on latest data center technologies spanning from cloud to edge to on-prem
• Proactively engage in researching technologies and products to propose new offerings and Proof of Concepts
• Coordinate operational activities from kick-off to TTM launch utilizing strong technical project management skills
• Work with product managers and other system engineers to draft technical marketing presentations and white papers for online publications and industry event promotional activities
• Work with Sales, FAE, and customers to provide solution guidance through technical knowledge
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum 1 years of system engineering experience in enterprise hardware products
• Familiar with server architecture (including CPU, memory, PCIe, NVMe, NIC, OS, BIOS, BMC). Knowledge in cluster architectures like AI and HPC is a plus
• Basic experiences configuring servers (Linux, Windows) and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Linux Shell, C/C++, JavaScript) is strongly desirable
• Strong initiative and ability to work in a self-directed environment
• Ability to lead extended teams and meet deadlines.
• Ability to drive technical issues to closure leveraging available experts
• Creative thinking to develop new strategies and solutions
• Strong understanding of market trends, competitive offerings, and customer needs in the datacenter space
• Strong analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Strong communications skills, both verbal and written
Salary Range
$82,000 - $133,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
