Job Summary:
Supermicro is seeking a Product Engineer to join the power supply team in our HQ located in San Jose, CA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
• Create and perform test plans for failure power supply and generate failure analysis reports of power supply
• Help to Inspect power supply and review SOP of system operation in production line
• Maintain documents and statistic for failure component, system configuration and related information
• Review production test data of power supply to improve product quality and yield
• Server system level and power supply level troubleshooting
• Support Power supply PM to monitor / rework certain power supply project in production line
• Support production line to verify suspected power supply in time and provide alternative solution to production line staffs
• Support power team RD to collect testing data of certain project with systems
• Support power team QA to verify quality issue of project in production line in time
• Operate system and power supply testing equipment and oscilloscopes
• Work with cross-functional teams for system production and assist in product development
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• 2+ years of technical knowledge in the field of power electronics, power supplies, and server systems preferred
• Proficiency with power supply test and measurement equipment
• Must have strong troubleshooting skills & IPC-610A knowledge
• Soldering skills are preferred
• Have solid communications skills both verbal and written
Salary Range
$82,000 - $133,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
