Zurich North America is currently looking for a Product Development Consultant to support or Life A&H division. This position can be located remotely anywhere in the United States. As a Product Development Consultant, this individual provides legal expertise and transactional support to the Life A&H Business Unit and Underwriters. They will also help enable achievement of business plans and the delivery of excellent customer service while managing and mitigating legal risks.
Additional Accountabilities include:
+ Support the development and implementation of underwriting solutions (e.g. product development) for Life A&H.
+ Advise the Business Unit and Underwriters in responding to coverage requests and draft language for specific transactions
+ Assist with approval of terms and conditions (e.g. policy wording) by working closely with the Business Unit and Underwriters
+ Research and analyze relevant legal issues in connection with contract drafting
+ Structure new endorsements consistently and maintain the endorsement library with relevant updates and modifications
+ Draft state-specific forms in compliance with state insurance laws and regulations, both for new/refreshed products and in response to new laws and regulations. Serve as Life Accident & Health contact for form related checklists, filing guidance and strategy, and filing objections.
+ Support product refreshes (e.g. updating pre-existing coverages and endorsements) by preparing coverage forms and endorsements for Governance Review
Basic Qualifications:
+ JD and 6 or more years of experience of law practice specializing in the insurance area
Preferred Qualifications:
+ A&H Insurance regulatory exp.
+ Strong organizational and analytical skills
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills
Compensation for roles at Zurich varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Compensation provided is a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled.As required by local law, Zurich provides in good faith a reasonable range of compensation for roles.For additional information about our Total Rewards, clickhere (https://www.zurichna.com/careers/benefits) . Other rewards may include short term incentive bonuses and merit increases. The starting salary range for the position is: $99,300.00 - $ 136,500.00.
