Randstad, in partnership with our client, a leading apparel company, is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Product Development Assistant, Sample Coordinator to join their dynamic team on a 6-month contract!

We're looking for a motivated individual with strong administrative and organizational skills to support our Product Development team. You'll be a key player in ensuring smooth sample creation and data management, contributing to the successful launch of our next season's collection.
In this role, you will:
- Maintain accurate product information within our RLM system, including color and material updates.
- Assist the PD team with sample requests, fabric sourcing, and data entry in information systems.
- Coordinate all aspects of tech sample management, including ordering, receiving, organizing, distributing, and tracking.
- Proactively communicate with team members and cross-functional departments to ensure timely delivery and successful collaboration.
- Maintain our internal tracking system for real-time visibility on sample status.
- Coordinate with our raw materials warehouse to request fabrics and trims for sample creation.
- Actively participate in meetings with various departments including Design, Tech, Creative, and Sales.
- Engage in local travel to contractors, mills, showrooms, and dye houses.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with our suppliers.
This is a great opportunity for someone who:
- Has 1-3 years of experience in the apparel manufacturing industry.
- Is proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Has experience with RLM, PLM, or similar information systems (a plus).
- Possesses a strong understanding of garment construction.
- Excels in communication (written and verbal), with exceptional attention to detail.
- Demonstrates strong data entry skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Thrives in a collaborative team environment while also working independently.
- Is highly organized, detail-oriented, deadline driven, and able to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Adapts seamlessly to fast-paced environments and possesses strong problem-solving skills.
- Maintains a positive "can-do" attitude and a strong work ethic.
This is a 6-month contract opportunity with a competitive hourly rate of up to $32/hour. The role is based in Culver City, CA with a hybrid work schedule.
