Product Developer - Beach Riot LLC

Beach Riot is seeking a talented Product Developer to join our team! This role will drive innovation and quality in the swim and apparel divisions of the business. Working cross functionally with design, technical design, production, and planning this role is responsible for bringing design ideas to life.

Tasks:

• Work with Design and Technical Design to ensure tech packages are comprehensive and meet the products goals for delivery, function, and fit
• Establish and monitor time and action calendars to hit target development delivery dates and request initial costing info for all new seasonal developments
• Ability to review, manage, and negotiate costs for both domestic and import styles
• Partner with Planning and Production Manager to facilitate any special makeup requests
• Source raw materials for each new season based on mood boards with vendors, mills and trim suppliers both domestically and overseas
• Coordinate raw materials and place cut tickets for domestic and in house sampling/sms as needed
• Build RM and BOM for domestic costing using our ERP system, Full Circle
• Communicate design and construction changes to factories to achieve final fit and requirements
• Attend fit sessions and work closely with production to communicate any fit or fabric delays
• Maintain and monitor time and action calendar to hit target development dates

Required skills and qualifications:

• Experience in swim and apparel garment construction and some fabric knowledge and understanding of swim and apparel classification/duty and import requirements
• Excellent written and oral communication
• Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills and with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to prioritize task, responds quickly to multiple projects and deadline with strong time management skills
• Good problem-solving skills and be able to function well in a high paced and at times stressful environment
• Full Circle experience is a plus
• 3-5 years of experience
• Domestic manufacturing experience is helpful
