Product Designer
Pay Rate: Up to $75/hr depending on experience
Location: 100% Remote
Duration: 1 Year
Our well-known Technology client is looking for a robust Product Designer to join their Reality Lab team team working on fashion/retail products. The client is looking for a candidate with experience in designing compelling interactions and experiences.
This is a full-time 40 hour/week 12 month contract role with high possibility of extension. This role is fully remote.
Product Designer Responsibilities
- Design and develop deliverables and prototypes for proof of concept, demos, and more.
- Visualize and prototype intended solutions at various levels of fidelity including high level wireframes, conceptual designs, design presentations and detailed specifications.
- Utilize user centered design methodologies to create mock-ups and prototypes at varying levels of fidelity.
- Design UI comps that follow standards and accessibility requirements for web and mobile.
- Partner with product managers, software engineers, HCI and machine learning researchers, data operation managers and other designers on projects that are at the forefront of developing AR technology.
- Help to facilitate and participate in user research like interviews and usability testing to validate designs and make iterative improvements.
- Contribute to efforts to create scalable experience design standards and improve design processes.
- Participate in and lead design-thinking exercises to break through organizational silos and collaboratively solve complex design challenges.
Product Designer Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in product design or user experience design.
- A portfolio demonstrating your end-to-end design process and solutions.
- Experience building designs for new products, adding improvements to existing products and conducting market research for new product design ideas.
- Experience designing for watch and mobile interface is ideal.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas to their essence.
- Ability to drive results in a collaborative environment.
- Bachelor's degree and ideally a MA / MS degree UX/UI design, UCD, HCI, or related field of study, or equivalent experience.
