Product Designer - State Farm

Our Experience Design area within Enterprise Technology – Digital Experience Department is seeking Product Designers. This area is comprised of multiple teams that are passionate about enhancing experiences for State Farm associates, agents, and customers. Our work matters – we deliver user centered design solutions expressed through our State Farm brand that directly align with and positively impact our Enterprise goals.

To effectively deliver, we partner with a broad range of business partners, including developers, product owners, Marketing, business departments, and executive leadership, to name a few. Work Arrangement:

Hybrid: Qualified candidates (in or near hub locations listed below) should plan to spend time working from home and some time working in the office as part of our hybrid work environment.

Hub Locations: Dunwoody, GA; Richardson, TX; Tempe, AZ; Bloomington, IL

Remote:Qualified candidates (outside of hub locations listed below) may be considered for 100% remote work arrangements based on where a candidate currently resides or is currently located.

Potential salary range: $85,500-$156,200
For California, New York, and Connecticut candidates:
Potential salary range: $85,500 - $177,500
For Hawaii and Vermont candidates:
Potential salary range: $85,500 - $142,000

Potential yearly incentive pay: up to 15% of base salary

As a Product Designer on our team, you will be primarily focused on enhancing the customer experience for our State Farm mobile app. Key job responsibilities will include:
Collaborates with product, business teams, and architecture to uncover and understand customer pain points and define opportunities through usability and empathy studies, supporting early product definition and improving the overall experience

• Creates process and user flows, conceptual diagrams, journey maps, wireframes, and low to high fidelity prototypes to effectively communicate high level design strategies and detailed interaction behaviors
• Leverages established digital experience design and architecture standards, style guides and pattern libraries to create consistent user experiences
• Advocates for prioritization of design-centered product enhancements grounded in research, analysis, design thinking and service design methodologies

Partners with technology colleagues in creating high fidelity design assets for acceptance, development, and delivery to market

• 3-5 years of prior experience and demonstrated success in graphic design, app design, web design, and user-centered design
• Experience working within a brand and established design system
• Experience creating motion design
• Proactive, self-starter approach to work
• Highly effective written and verbal communicator
• Skilled and experienced in collaborative work approach
• Knowledge of and experience using data and analytics to solve experience problem
• User research experience​
