Location: Beaverton, OR
Duration: ~6 Months
Pay: up to $50/hour, DOE
Planet Interactive is looking for a Product Designer to join our well known retail brand on a 6 month contract! This role is 40 hours per week and will be onsite in Beaverton, OR.
This role will designs graphics for products that will be created and sold to consumers, which includes original concepts selection of appropriate materials and techniques and modifications to ensure manufacturability.
The ideal candidate will elevate the consumer experience through superior graphic design, and bring to life the seasonal category creative narrative through graphic design that is trend relevant to the category consumer.

Responsibilities:
- Leads design efforts within a category or product segment to create original graphic and/or textile concepts and designs that appropriately reflect the Company's design ethos and which lead the industry.
- Understands and applies new technologies that bring innovation to the Brand's designs and applications.
- Effectively uses computerized systems in design process.
- Provides appropriate materials to designers developers account managers and/ or graphic separators for creation of screen prints embroidery and trims. For textiles produces textile repeats for production purposes.
- Communicates and presents design concepts produces presentation materials in conjunction with design and category teams that effectively communicate the concept behind the line for internal and external audiences.
- Creates and delivers powerful presentations of seasonal design proposals.
- Maintains healthy cross-functional relationships and builds matrix relationships outside of immediate team.
- 3+ years' experience as a Graphic Designer with sports experience in apparel.
- Experienced with 3D with CLO and Illustrator.
- Skilled with building decks and making edits in Keynote.
- Fosters strong cross-functional relationships within design and related functions.
- Uses Consumer-led insights to drive innovative design solutions.
- Maintains and continually expands upon expert knowledge of current trends color technology and sports-related products through travel and research.
- Demonstrates expert understanding of products product lines product development process.
- Provides design expertise for design team as needed outside of assigned product load.
- Creates the Visual Center for Silo or Product
- Storytelling around concept or Athlete that influences the overall seasonal direction.
- Demonstrates leadership that influences process change. Best practices Calendar Manufacturing process
- Participates in forum with category consumers to deepen consumer insights for product classifications.
