About the Job
As a Sourcing Engineer, you will play a critical role in directing team activities to meet both global and local plant sourcing objectives and initiatives. Your responsibilities will include establishing and sustaining direct contact with global team members, corporate teams, and the global supply base to ensure the efficient procurement of materials and components.

- Preferred BA/BS in Engineering; Business or Supply Chain Management degrees considered.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management within a manufacturing environment.
- Mechanical background with specific knowledge related to the procurement of complex castings, forgings, and machined hydraulic components.
- Strong knowledge of QS9000 and ISO9000 procedures and practices; certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in data analysis and problem solving, with proficiency in tools such as MS Excel and PowerBI.
- Ability to build and work in complex relationships and situations.
- Understanding of APQP, PPAP, and "Run at Rate" processes.
- Experience working with Mexican entities; Spanish language skills are a plus.
- Implement the Corporate Purchasing Policy in accordance with the Industrial Charter.
- Develop and implement a strategic vision and planning to optimize supplier performance across all part families.
- Provide information, analysis, and reporting to the DISG Group in Verberie, France.
- Lead the supplier RFQ process, conducting supplier analysis to ensure competitive pricing, continuity of supply, risk mitigation, delivery, quality, and lead time objectives are achieved.
- Interface with Sales, Engineering, and Operations to develop a prototyping and outside services supply base.
- Actively contribute to and participate in cross-functional team environments to support corporate/global and local/plant level goals and objectives.
- Create and maintain Master Data files.
- Improve the efficiencies and timing of New Product Sourcing processes by collaborating with innovation, design, and engineering teams.
- Acquire and maintain an understanding of product purchases, knowledge of the supply base, and product cost.
- Partner with internal teams throughout the Product Development stages to manage BOM cost for outsourced components and assemblies with a focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
- Identify risks associated with the supply base and initiate actions to address issues.
- Forecast price trends and assess their impact on current and future pricing.
- Consistently focus on continuous improvement, reducing design time, development costs, and improving product quality with suppliers and key company stakeholders.
- Perform Contract Reviews on Inquiries in partnership with company legal.
- Conduct should-cost and make vs. buy analyses to support sourcing decisions.
- Identify, develop, interface with internal customers, and lead the implementation of value analysis/value engineering (VA/VE) and cost avoidance/reduction opportunities to increase overall business unit profitability.
- Participate in project meetings to ensure key internal customer deliverables are being met (cost, lead time, etc.).
- Perform other responsibilities as directed by the manager.
- $80,000/year - $90,000/year depending on experience (DOE)
