Negotiates favorable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers and prepares and processes requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of goods, services and supplies for customer-related business processes or for internal use as a generalist or in a combination of Purchasing Disciplines
Major Position Responsibilities:- Develops and executes sourcing strategy, evaluates product offerings, recommends suppliers, and negotiates contracts for assigned categories or departments.
- Gathers business requirements and identifies and pre-qualifies potential suppliers.
- Develops and distributes RFPs/RFQs and collects bids or other information.
- Evaluates proposals/quotes based on offering quality, cost, or other criteria and recommends suppliers that are best suited to meet the organization's requirements.
- Works with selected suppliers to develop mutually acceptable contractual agreements.
- May oversee tactical purchasing operations, such as the issuance of purchase orders or the payment of invoices.
Ensures that all procurement activities comply with internal policies and external regulations.General Profile

Basic Qualifications:
Required Education: Associate's Degree
Equivqlent Combination of Relevent Education & Experience
Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree
Major In: Business, Supply Chain or related degree
Years of Experience: 5-7 years experience
Ability to work as part of a team. Decision-making skills. Oral and written communication skills. Analytical thinking skills. Detail oriented. Ability to meet deadlines.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the procurement of capital equipment. The candidate will have been an active participant in at least one multi-million dollar facility project where construction agreements and service contracts were required.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
Less than 25% travel likely.
Pay Range (USD):$74,550.00 - $132,450.00Additional Compensation:Hired applicant may be eligible to participate in the Company’s Gain Sharing Program.Benefits:Employees are eligible for medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, and basic life insurance as well as pre-tax spending accounts.
