Job Title: Procurement Specialist III
Location: Washington, VA - Pentagon
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM EST (Onsite 1 day, Remote 4 days)
Contract type: 6 month CTH
Openings: 1
Overview: We are seeking experienced Contract Specialists to join our team at WHS-AD. The ideal candidates will have recent, relevant experience using contract writing software systems to create modifications and contracts, specifically PD2 (Procurement Desktop Defense, or SPS, Standard Procurement System).
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and write modifications and contracts using PD2 software.
- Support federal employee contract specialists in their duties.
- Administer cost-type contracts, conduct quantitative analysis, plan negotiation strategies, conduct negotiations, and document results.
- Utilize cost and price analysis techniques.
- Experience:
- Recent, relevant experience using contract writing software systems (PD2, PRISM, ConWrite).
- Former federal employee contract specialist or contracting officer with a warrant (preferably for the Department of Defense).
- Former contractor supporting federal employee contract specialists in creating/writing modifications and contracts using PD2 software.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree.
- Certifications: Preferred contracting certifications include NCMA CFCM, NCMA CPCM, DAWIA Level III contracting, FAC-C Level III contracting.
- Skills/Technologies:
- Experience administering cost-type contracts.
- Quantitative analysis skills.
- Ability to plan negotiation strategies, conduct negotiations, and document results.
- Proficiency in cost and price analysis techniques.
- 3+ years of demonstrated pre-award/award/post-award contracting experience procuring products and services utilizing FAR parts 8, 12, 13, 15, and 16.
- 4 years of demonstrated pre-award/award contracting experience.
- 2 years of demonstrated post-award contracting experience.
- DOD contracting experience and familiarity with FARS and DFARS.
- Nice to Have:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Former federal employee contract specialist or contracting officer with a warrant.
- Experience with the Department of Defense.
- Experience using PD2 software.
