In this rewarding role, you will:
- Support day-to-day procurement activities including, but not limited to, evaluation of requisitions, sourcing and negotiating best value with suppliers, and issuance of purchase orders
- Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products or services in coordination with operations, to meet requirements for all lines of business within Leidos QTC Health Services
- Act as point of contact for procurement requests and collaborates with relevant stakeholders. Takes ownership of the procurement lifecycle for relevant requests
- Support the company initiatives with market research of vendors, pricing, quotes and other such information to promote continuous improvement for procurement
- Enhance Small Business Subcontracting plan performance, encourage good faith effort, and lead the analysis of compliance and preparation of regularly scheduled reports
- Support and adhere to Procurement policies, procedures and workflows for all of our systems; assist with system administration for various vendor portals, including adding, deleting, and maintaining users
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships to effectively solicit quotes, address issues related to price, delivery and/or quality of goods and services
- Gather and coordinate capital expenditure project requests between facilities, operations, procurement and finance, checking for accuracy on required forms and requisitions. Ensure timely issuance of purchase orders and assist with tracking spend for each capital expenditure project
- Review and negotiate simple to moderately complex contracts for goods and services
- Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information to develop alternative solutions; work well in group problem-solving situations with internal departments
- Assist with forecasts for supplies and equipment requirements for Leidos QTC Health Sciences lines of businesses, products and services requirements, lead sourcing activities and vendor proposals for requisitions, focusing on criteria for preferred vendors, cost savings and best value for Leidos QTC Health Sciences
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Ideally you will have:
- Experience in the Healthcare sector for the sourcing and purchasing of goods and services.
- Effective collaboration, communication and internal/external negotiation skills
- Extensive knowledge of procurement policies and procedures. Demonstrates flexibility to adapt to continuous process improvements
- Strong leadership and initiative skills, with a positive/can-do/take-charge attitude, a sense of urgency and attention to detail
- Solid analytical and computer skills, including knowledge of Excel, Word and other MS Office products
- Must be able to work independently as well as be a team-player, in a fast paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration, or equivalent experience/combined education
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with procurement and contracting activities is required
- Experience with commonly used business software required
Pay and Benefits:
Salary range (Level 2): $65,000 - $82,500
Other levels may be considered:
Level 3 - 5 to 9 years of experience: $82,000 - $100,000
