Salary: $95,088 to $141,204 DOQ

The Housing Authority of the County of Alameda (HACA) is seeking a collaborative and proactive Procurement and Purchasing Manager to lead HACA’s purchasing and procurement activities. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in the dynamic and thriving Bay Area and play a critical role in the HACA organization.

The Procurement and Purchasing Manager is responsible for analyzing, planning, directing, and managing purchasing and procurement processes for services, materials, supplies, and equipment; conducting outreach and formal bidding processes; and ensuring regulatory compliance is met.

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying, though a typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be the following: A Bachelor’s degree with major course work in public administration, business administration or a closely related field; and five years of professional experience in purchasing and/or procurement in a management position. A Master’s Degree and knowledge of government and/or Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) procurement requirements desired. HACA will consider a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required knowledge and abilities.
