- Lead and manage all procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiating contracts, and purchasing goods.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that are innovative, cost-effective, and incorporate the needs of various departments.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, ensuring that suppliers meet our standards of quality, cost, delivery, and service.
- Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery, and compliance to terms of contracts.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure clarity of specifications and expectations of the company.
- Oversee the operations and daily activities of the procurement department.
- Implement and manage risk mitigation strategies in the procurement process.
- Utilize SAP for procurement and supply chain management tasks.
- Liaise with Mandarin-speaking partners, utilizing fluency in Mandarin Chinese to ensure clear and effective communication.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends and potential impact on procurement activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field. A Master's degree will be considered an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a procurement role, preferably in a management capacity.
- Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, both written and spoken, is mandatory.
- Proven experience using SAP for procurement and supply chain management.
- Demonstrated experience in managing supplier performance and developing procurement strategies.
- Knowledge and experience dealing with non-perishable goods.
- Excellent negotiation skills and a cost-conscious mindset.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience in risk management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze data and provide insights for decision making.
