We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a Permanent Procurement Manager for Capital Projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute to our fast-growing construction company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities for our capital projects, including sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, and cost control.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement procurement strategies for capital projects to ensure timely delivery of goods and services, while minimizing costs and risks.
2. Manage relationships with suppliers, including negotiating contracts, evaluating performance, and resolving issues.
3. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop sourcing strategies.
4. Analyze market trends and apply insights to procurement activities to achieve competitive advantage.
5. Monitor procurement processes to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations for capital projects.
6. Utilize SAP (S4/HANA) and Tableau / DOMO analytics to optimize procurement activities and provide insightful reports to management.
7. Manage the procurement budget and implement cost control measures to achieve financial objectives.
8. Develop and maintain a robust supplier base to ensure continuous supply of goods and services.
9. Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals to achieve departmental and company objectives.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
2. 12+ years of experience in capital sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management in the construction, manufacturing, building materials, or energy industry.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role.
4. Proven experience with federal and state capital projects sourcing.
5. Proficiency in SAP (S4/HANA) and Tableau / DOMO analytics.
6. Solid experience in supplier management and contract negotiation.
7. Strong cost management skills.
8. Excellent negotiation skills.
9. Ability to lead and motivate a team.
10. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
12. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
13. Knowledge of federal and state procurement regulations.
14. High level of integrity and professionalism.
