Position Summary:
Responsible for managing the enterprise Procurement life cycle through strategic thinking and analysis. Maintaining effective vendor relationships crucial to the success of the organization. Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards, in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
State specific pay scales for this role are as follows:
$112,946.07 to $209,238.24 (CA, NJ, NY, WA, HI, AK, MD, CT, RI, MA)
$102,678.25 to $190,216.58 (NV, OR, AZ, CO, WY, TX, ND, MN, MO, IL, WI, FL, GA, MI, OH, VA, PA, DE, VT, NH, ME)
$92,410.42 to $171,194.92 (UT, ID, MT, NM, SD, NE, KS, OK, IA, AR, LA, MS, AL, TN, KY, IN, SC, NC, WV)
The expected base salary for this position will vary depending on a number of factors, including relevant experience, skills and location.
Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, vendors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure the best value, fair pricing, product availability, and favorable contract terms.
- Ensure Procurement activities align with organizational goals, budget, and compliance requirements.
- Manage contracts throughout their lifecycle, including renewals, extensions, and terminations. Monitor performance, conduct regular reviews to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and service levels
- Collaborate with IT, legal, and finance departments to ensure all contracts meet company standards and regulations.
- In partnership with company stakeholders, identify, evaluate and select vendors and suppliers, ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company policies in all procurement activities.
- Analyze market trends, tech advancements, and industry best practices, recommend process improvements and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, service level agreements, and delivery terms while mitigating risks.
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with vendor partnerships, including security, compliance, and operational risks. Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions in vendor services.
- Develop and maintain procurement budgets, track expenditures, and provide regular reports and analysis to leadership and stakeholders.
- Track and report on procurement activities, savings, and expenditure.
- Analyze and present actionable data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement in vendor management processes
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Certification in procurement or vendor management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM, CPM) required.
- Experience
- 5 to 7 years of proven leadership experience in procurement, vendor management, and large projects
- Industry experience in Insurance or Banking
- In depth understanding of the technology landscape and
- Proven success in negotiating contracts with vendors and suppliers.
- Experience in Procurement life cycle (RFPs, vendor scoring and selection, contract negotiation and management)
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Excellent analytical abilities with proficiency in data-driven decision-making
- Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize assignments and work effectively in a dynamic environment
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- In-depth knowledge of technology trends, market dynamics and procurement best practices
Minimum:
- Skilled at working collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools and complete MS Office Suite
- Familiarity with vendor management software and tools.
