We are actively seeking a Procurement Manager to join our growing team! Partner with the Procurement Director in overseeing and optimizing procurement processes across our organization. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of supplies, equipment, and services to our dental practices while supporting the overall efficiency and success of the procurement department.
Responsibilities:
- Support Procurement Strategy Development:Collaborate with the Director of Procurement to design and implement strategies and processes that align with organizational goals and enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Assist in Vendor and Contract Management:Work alongside the Director and internal business partners to build and maintain vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
- Inventory Management and Supply Chain Oversight:Partner with the procurement team to monitor inventory levels, streamline supply chain processes, and prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Cost Analysis and Optimization:Conduct data analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations to the Director of Procurement.
- Compliance Monitoring:Ensure that all procurement activities align with organizational policies and industry regulations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:Serve as a liaison between procurement and other departments, including operations, finance, and clinical teams (among others), to address the unique needs of each practice.
- Presentation and Reporting Assistance:Help prepare professional presentations and detailed reports for leadership, communicating procurement updates, performance metrics, and improvement initiatives.
- Project and Process Support:Assist in managing procurement-related projects and initiatives, contributing to process improvement and technology implementation efforts.
Secondary Functions and Responsibilities:
- Team Support and Development: Provide guidance to procurement staff as needed, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
- Assist as needed in projects within Support Services.
- Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent (bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus).
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field, preferably in the dental or healthcare industry.
- Skills and Attributes:
- Proven ability to assist in managing projects and balancing competing priorities.
- Strong understanding of vendor management, contract negotiation, and inventory oversight.
- Comfortable delivering presentations and assisting in public speaking engagements.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Team-oriented with demonstrated experience in supporting leadership and contributing to team success.
- Analytical mindset with strong business acumen
Physical Requirements:
The nature of work requires the ability to:
- Effectively communicate and exchange information with staff, supervisors, and other internal clients
- Operate a computer, keyboard, and standard office equipment.
- Occasional travel when needed.
Work performed in a non-clinical office environment. Requires availability for extended hours during peak periods. Hours may change to meet the business needs.
