The Procurement Manager Americas is the local presence of the Procurement Department in the region. This position will cover USA, Mexico, Colombia and Uruguay, reporting to the central corporate function while working closely with local stakeholders.
The role covers renewable energy technologies (PV, Wind, BESS), with a strong focus on PV. The scope includes both equipment and services such as EPC, Technical Advisory, QAQC, etc.
This position will work from our US (Austin, Tx) or Mexico (Mexico City) headquarters.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist the origination and development teams in the procurement and sourcing activities for actual or future projects (i.e. confirming Capex assumptions, guiding on vendors and technology)
- Local supplier management, in line with the corporate procurement guidelines (up to coordinating and supporting RFI, RFQ or RFP for ongoing tenders)
- Partner with origination and development teams to develop an accurate region demand forecast
- Gather information about individual project requirements to identify specific procurement needs at an early stage and secure timely and efficient support for the project
- Direct involvement with supplier negotiations in conjunction with the Project Team & external advisors
- Support the Project team and Supplier during execution phase to ensure successful contract fulfilment
- Administrative activities including generating NDAs, reporting, data analysis, accurate document filing, forecasting & presentations
- Travel as required within designated region
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Relevant Procurement experience within renewable energy
- Good understanding of PV technology. Knowledge in Wind and BESS are a plus
- Experienced with contractual and legal wording within renewable energy
- Proficient English (Spanish advantageous)
- Experience in the procurement of key components such as PV modules, inverters, tracker, HV equipment or services such as EPC, QAQC or Technical Advisory services
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Proactive approach facing obstacles or challenges
- High levels of efficiency around administration tasks
