Description: Our Client Is Currently Seeking A Procurement / Inventory Specialist. Preferred Candidates Must Have Previous Procurement and Logistics/Warehouse Exposure.
This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Identify key suppliers to enhance and develop ongoing relationships
- Handle stock and customer orders on a daily basis.
- Monitor inventory turns.
- Understand supplier return policies and procedure
- Audit price accuracy across branches.
- Regularly review outstanding stock, customer, and backorders.
- Identify and report vendor promotions
- Plan and audit cycle counts.
- Schedule and lead annual physical inventories.
- Conduct an audit of price accuracies.
- Conduct a daily review of negative on-hand inventory.
- Regularly train site staff in proper inventory control techniques and best practices.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- BS Degree preferred, BUT not limited
- 4+ years experience in a logistics/procurement environment
- Must be able to be self disciplined
- Great negotiation skills
- Strong ERP knowledge
- Excellent pricing, cycle count, inventory control experience
- Must be ok with working on-site
- Willing to learn with a positive attitude
