We are looking for a Procurement Specialist! Experience within the pre-engineering metal buildings (PEMB) industry. Specific product knowledge of PEMB, building codes, standards, architectural/structural drawings, specifications, and excellent communication, both verbal and written.

Job Summary:
Your role as Procurement and Contracts Specialist includes but is not limited to:
Purchase goods or services that meet the quantity and quality expectations of the organization
Determine the best suppliers
Evaluate and negotiate contracts with vendors
Stay up to date on industry trends and new products
Compare available goods with industry trends to determine appropriate pricing
Troubleshooting fulfillment issues
Maintaining complete and accurate records of all purchases.
* In this position, your priorities are competitive pricing, good customer service, the availability of warranties, as well as the quality and suitability of the goods themselves. However, you are additionally involved in planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
Qualifications:
5+years’ experience in procurement and contracts
BS Degree
Experience in Accounting and Finance
Specific Responsibilities:
1) Procurement Specialists must professionally represent employer.
2) Procurement Specialists must manage new projects until the building installation has been completed by the client.
3) Procurement Specialists must assist the account managers with any callbacks or warranty claims.
4) Procurement Specialists must be knowledgeable about all facets of Steel Buildings from design to completion and will be proficient in the technical aspects, including reading blueprints, site planning, snow load, wind load, etc. This person must possess and demonstrate a general understanding of steel erection and concrete work, and be able to demonstrate proficiency in steel building projects including how the process of constructing a building works from breaking ground, site work, foundation design, electrical planning, lighting requirements for different applications, hangar doors, curtain walls, mezzanines, HVAC, fire sprinkler systems, insulated panel systems, custom wall finishes, etc.
5) Procurement Specialists must be familiar with all steel building applications including, but not limited to, industrial, commercial, equestrian, oilfield, indoor agricultural space, aviation, workshop, mini-storage, agricultural, recreation, recycling, municipal, manufacturing, high occupancy, essential, public utility, etc. Procurement Specialists will have the knowledge to reference existing projects in all geographic locations.
6) Procurement Specialists must estimate building projects as necessary to ensure proper design and pricing.
7) Procurement Specialists will keep proper notes and upload all project documents using our computers and software.
8) Procurement Specialists will manage job budget and job costs with the Account Managers.
9) Procurement Specialists will work with the Director of Operations to add efficiency and continuously improve all facets of building procurement.
10) Procurement Specialists will manage project documents and send documents to the Account Managers
11) Procurement Specialists will manage timely and effective communication with the factories, clients, Account Managers, installers, and any other entities necessary to ensure consistency with our mission statement.
12) Procurement Specialists must accurately order buildings, manage factory communication, manage fabrication schedules, and manage delivery schedules. This information will be communicated to the Account Managers in a timely fashion.
13) Procurement Specialists will report to the Director of Operations
14) Procurement Specialists will exhibit leadership in every facet of their role in the company and welcome additional reasonable responsibilities presented by management.
