Qualifications:
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or a compliance-related role within a food manufacturing or distribution environment.
Proven track record of managing supplier relations and compliance.
Experience in handling claims and disputes effectively.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong organizational and project management skills to handle complex projects and multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
Detail-oriented with a critical eye for identifying discrepancies and enforcing compliance standards.
Proficiency in procurement and compliance software, as well as MS Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating leadership when overseeing projects.
Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to make decisions under pressure.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
Job Duties:
Supplier Compliance Management:
Maintain up-to-date compliance files for all suppliers, ensuring all regulatory and company standards are met.
Develop and oversee the approved supplier list, conducting regular reviews and updates to ensure compliance with company standards.
Lead the audit process for existing suppliers, assessing their compliance and performance, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Claims Management:
Manage the end-to-end supplier claim process, from initiation to resolution, including financial settlements.
Track and report on the status of all claims, analyzing trends and making recommendations to reduce future occurrences.
Serve as the primary contact for suppliers during the claim resolution process, ensuring effective communication and satisfactory outcomes.
Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare detailed reports on supplier compliance status and claim processes, presenting findings to senior management.
Ensure all documentation related to supplier compliance and claims is accurate, complete, and securely stored.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with various departments, including Procurement, Quality Assurance, and Operations, to ensure alignment on supplier standards and performance.
Participate in cross-functional teams to drive improvements in procurement processes and supplier performance.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in supplier management, compliance protocols, and claims handling.
Stay informed of industry trends and regulatory changes affecting procurement and compliance, adapting processes as necessary to remain compliant.
