About the Job
iMPact Business Group is looking for a Procurement Assistant in Lithia, FL. The ideal candidate will be able to travel to the physical location and work a hybrid remote schedule of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm and 4 days of the week from home (Thursday onsite).
The role supports the Procurement organization and will initially be heavily focused on cataloging. Additionally, the worker will process orders from purchase requisitions, assuring accuracy and timely processing and clear interface and communications to vendors and internal operations. The ideal candidate will set up and update procurement data on systems and may assist with various projects as needed, supporting the existing team on its initiatives.
- Create and maintain purchase orders for tactical purchases, ensuring proper procedures are followed and documentation is in place.
- Determine if requirements to issue PO are met according to guidelines
- Verify the master item catalog and check the need to add items to stock requests and SSO process (substitutions, supersession, and obsolescence)
- Procure items on price contracts and punch out catalogs
- Assist with expediting materials planning and purchasing and interface with the existing team by having precise and clear communication methods via in-person, email, or phone
Add and set users in procurement systems and setup and update vendor data
- A High School Diploma/GED and at least 1+ year of Administrative, Customer Service, or related experience required
- Knowledge of the Procurement Process or procurement activities is highly desired.
- Any experience with industrial parts or knowledge of industrial terminology is extremely helpful.
- Microsoft Office experience is required and any experience with Maximo, SAP, and /or Ariba is helpful.
- Customer service skills to assist internal and external clients will be required
- Ability to analyze data and make decisions accordingly to the guidance received required
- Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy is required
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills in working with various disciplines and functions required
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills preferred
