7-Month Contact
Job Location: 410 W 118th Street New York NY 10027
Hours: 35 hour work week
Fully Onsite
9am to 5pm, 1 hour for lunch

Job Summary/Description:
This individual will support the Manager of Procurement in implementing a consistent end-to-end procurement process across all departments. This involves tasks such as drafting various procurement documents, managing timelines, ensuring policy compliance, participating in vendor evaluations, and assisting with purchase orders and change orders. They will also assess current processes, propose improvements, and create reports for internal control monitoring. Additional responsibilities include assisting with vendor sourcing and onboarding, updating performance indicators, documenting policies and procedures, managing the vendor database, and helping with Facilities contracts. Special projects and other assigned duties will also be carried out.

Must Haves:
- 2+ years of relevant experience required
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Word and Excel.
- Strong customer service and attention to detail
- Possess a general understanding of the capital construction process
- Experience in higher education setting

- Assist with the procurement process for all departments, including drafting documents, managing timelines, evaluating vendors, and handling contracts.
- Help source and onboard new vendors, track supplier utilization and performance, negotiate for the best value, and develop effective relationships with suppliers.
- Create and maintain contract templates, summary sheets, and assist with contract reviews and execution.
- Analyze and improve procurement processes, develop training materials, and document policies and procedures.
- Update key performance indicators and develop reports for monitoring and internal controls.
- Perform other duties as assigned and work independently under the supervision of the Manager of Procurement.
