Salary: $60,012 - $66,581
Location: 33 N. High Street, Columbus, OH 43215

Position Summary:
Performs highly responsible, professional work in the development, execution, and administration of bid solicitations and contracts to ensure the timely and cost-effective purchase of goods and services and validate contractors' fulfillment obligations through the contract period of performance.
Performs duties in alignment with the 2019 - 2024 COTA Strategic Plan and in support of the organization's vision To Move Every Life Forward.
This Position is Responsible For:
- Develops, processes, executes and monitors bid solicitations, contracts and purchase orders to achieve timely delivery of required goods and services on an economic basis
- Works closely with and regularly meets with all COTA departments to assure that purchases meet the needs and specifications of the unit
- Conducts pre-bid, pre-proposal, pre-construction and bid opening meetings & presents recommendations to the director on awarding contracts
- Administers post-award contract activities to ensure fulfillment of obligations by vendors and ensures goods or services comply with contract terms
- Manages purchases to obtain the highest value for COTA through knowledge of price solving trends analysis, availability of substitute products or new materials, and standardization of specifications
- Maintains current knowledge of all laws (local, state, federal) related to the purchase of goods/services (Ohio Revised Code, Uniform Commercial Code, FTA Regulations)
- Maintains effective working relationships with vendors to ensure adequate number of suppliers and to promote supportive interest in doing business with COTA, as well as evaluating and qualifying vendors
At Minimum You'll Need:
- Associate degree in business or materials management
- Four (4) years of purchasing experience, preferably for a services organization
- Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) preferred
