Processor Operator Trainer -Night Shift
Shift: 6:45pm-7am 2,2,3 schedule
Pay Rate: $23.33/HR plus $1.00 an hour Shift Differential
What you bring to the party:
- Lead with "Safety First" Culture
- Fully train and develop new and existing PC and HK Potato Processors within a defined amount of time or as the business requires.
- Train and mentor, all PC and HK Potato Processors on sanitation processes
- Teach and develop asset ownership among all new and current PC and HK Potato Processors for the equipment they run and care for every day. (Including but not limited to CIL, Preventive Maintenance activities, etc.)
- Use multiple teaching techniques to ensure the intended PC and HK Potato Processors capture, learn and develop their skills and awareness of their job responsibilities to be successful.
- Support the training and certification program of all PC and HK Potato Processors along with the Training & Qualification Supervisor.
- Continue to update and adapt training materials according to the business needs.
- Train new PC and HK Potato Processors on all technical skills as well as support systems such as but not limited to MIP
- Train new PC and HK Potato Processors on the theory of operations and proper processes from receiving to packaging.
- Manage training requirements for new and existing PC and HK Potato Processors.
- Support the operational processes established by each shift.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures to maintain established certification programs.
- Hold quality and reliability as high standards of production service and clearly communicates these standards to others.
- Provides safety, manufacturing, and customer service-based leadership to achieve outstanding business results on a specific production system or process.
- Train new PC and HK Potato Processors the set up and operation of industrial food processing equipment,
- Train new PC and HK Potato Processors how to follow precise recipes and work procedures, monitoring and adjusting processing variables.
- Train new PC and HK Potato Processors how to perform product quality tests and data collection.
- Train new PC and HK Potato Processors how to monitor and adjust fryer temperatures to ensure proper quality standards are met.
- Train new PC and HK Potato Processors how to clean and change slicing heads at prescribed intervals to ensure standard slicing consistency.
- Audit, verify, and retrain (as necessary)existing PC and HK Potato Processors on a minimum annual basis to ensure quality and standards are met.
- A minimum of six months in the PC or HK position and able to successfully pass a potato processor and trainer aptitude examination.

- Ability to breakdown, clean, and rebuild PC and HK slicer heads.
- Understanding and knowledge of potato solids.
- Understanding and knowledge of moisture and oil when it relates to potato quality.
- Ability to teach and mentor other employees in the PC and HK Processor position.

- Ability to prioritize effectively and trouble shoot equipment issues.

- Language Skills – Must be able to read, understand and effectively communicate to team members.
- Computer Skills - Basic knowledge or Word, Excel, and Outlook. Must have knowledge and understanding on MIP and Infinity to conduct quality checks. Verifications on the computer will be done routinely throughout the day.
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with occasional variables. (aka. Startup, Shutdown, Centerlines, etc.)
- Attention to Detail – Must be able to follow standard work instructions.
Physical Demands:
- Frequently required to stand, lift, and reach with hands and arms.
- Regularly lift and /or move up to 50+ pounds.
- Regularly going up and down stairs as the job requires.
- Repetitive bending while lifting slicer heads or performing sanitation activities.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to be on their feet for twelve (12+) hours, to keep up with a fast and repetitious pace.
- Repetitive pushing and pulling to move heavy material or finished goods.
- Regular exposure to moving, mechanical parts.
- Regular exposure to warm climate temperatures
- Regular exposure to noise levels that will require use of ear protection.
