Job Description: Laser Technician

Job Purpose
Assist Process Development engineers, scientists, and/or teams in the development and analysis of products, materials, processes, or equipment. This level position requires an extensive knowledge base and a high degree of independence. You'll work hands-on to solve complex problems in a fast-paced, global environment, focusing on developing LASER processes from concept to production.
Key Responsibilities
1. Execute assigned tasks for project deliverables.
2. Develop solutions and contribute to initial design, testing, and process concepts.
3. Construct prototype products and/or detailed test methods from concepts.
4. Organize, coordinate, and execute testing of prototypes/materials with minimal engineering guidance.
5. Develop new test methods and/or make revisions to existing test methods.
6. Coordinate procuring and qualification of new or modified test equipment.
7. Prepare reports/documentation to communicate results to the technical community.
8. Use developed networks in assisting engineering teams in obtaining necessary materials, services, and test data.
9. Work with internal resources and external vendors to identify and obtain supplies and services.
10. Train/Coach peers on the technical aspects of their job including interpreting and rationalizing results (i.e. statistics, DOE).
Quality Systems Duties and Responsibilities:
Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
Qualifications
AA Degree or equivalent work experience in a related discipline and 6 years of related experience.
5-6 years of Laser Experience required
Additional Job Specific Requirements: CAD/CAM experience, Fixturing, GD&T/print experience
