We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Process Shift Supervisor to join our dynamic team in the Food Manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the production process, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the production line, and implementing continuous improvement measures to optimize performance. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a leadership role in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment. The Permanent Process Shift Supervisor will report directly to the Production Manager and will work closely with other team members to ensure production targets are met.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage the production process for the assigned shift, ensuring that production schedules are met, and quality standards are maintained.
2. Implement and enforce safety standards and procedures in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
3. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement measures to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
4. Monitor production performance, analyze production data, and generate reports to provide insights into process improvements.
5. Coordinate with other departments such as Maintenance, Quality, and Logistics to ensure seamless operations.
6. Train, guide, and motivate production workers to enhance their performance, productivity, and work satisfaction.
7. Manage and resolve any issues or obstacles that may affect production operations, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
8. Participate in the development and implementation of production plans and strategies.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in the manufacturing industry, with a strong focus on production processing.
3. Excellent knowledge of manufacturing best practices, safety regulations, and continuous improvement methodologies.
4. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve production issues efficiently.
6. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze production data and generate insightful reports.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
8. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
9. Proficiency in using production management software and tools.
10. Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies would be an advantage.
