Summary
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for the development and execution of all quality perspective and its subsidiaries and operations in optical components, including but not limited to RMA FA, RMA status analysis, inline quality control, final quality control, and regulations. The successful candidate will be a quality-minded engineer, with a firm grasp on quality practice in optical component matters, failure analysis, and risk assessment.
Location and Schedule
This position will report on-site at our Sugar Land, Texas location Monday through Friday.
Job Duties
Optical manufacturing division quality control and quality management, including but not limited to:
- Failure analysis and report to the production line
- Inspection result analysis and risk assessment
- Inspection criteria and sampling size address
- 8D and HTOL report address
- Customer special request DOE design and execution
- RMA status and information tracking
Experience
- Master's Degree in Engineering preferred, but Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required
- 5+ years’ experience in the optical/semiconductor quality management and manufacturing environment is highly desirable
- Familiarity of Microsoft Office is required
- Knowledge of ISO9001 and TL9000 is required
- Knowledge of 8-D, DFMEA, PHMEA, DMAIC, etc. is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Process Quality Engineer experience is preferred
- Six Sigma certification is a plus
- Familiarity with QC tools, SPC and statistics and measurement system analysis
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin Chinese is preferred
