Description: Our client is currently seeking a Process / Project Engineer to join their Corporate Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be a process driven engineer with strong project management experience. The Process / Project Engineer will provide technical and professional leadership in the areas of project management, engineering, and maintenance for 3 facilities and aid in the development, planning, and implementation of capital projects and facility improvements. This position will require 25-30% travel and is a newly crated position due to company wide growth at multiple locations.
This job will have the following responsibilities:
Prepare material and equipment lists, purchase orders, cost analyses and estimated production costs or saving
Propose and control the cost of each project in accordance with the budget provided
For projects that are not delivering the desired results, significantly refocus effects to deliver the desired results
Responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating the technical and management aspects and expectations of projects, including contractors/equipment manufacturers/internal support
For projects that are not delivering the desired results, significantly refocus effects to deliver the desired results
Incorporate personnel safety, food safety and regulatory requirements into all projects
Perform post-installation audits, reconcile financial metrics, and share key learning for future project improvement
On an ongoing basis, initiate design changes and modifications to further improve machine efficiency, cost reductions and to expand the capability of existing equipment to perform efficiently.
Manage the introduction of new projects into all Company facilities.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree - Engineering Degree Preferred
- 3-5+ Years of Process Engineering / Project Management Experience - Food / Beverage / CPG or Fast Moving Consumer Goods Manufacturing preferred
- Ability to Travel 25-30%
Advanced knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards
Ability to organize and manage multiple project assignments.
