About the Job
Gpac is currently working with a client south of Raleigh, NC, who is seeking a Manufacturing Process Improvement Engineer for their food production facility.
This person will be responsible for developing and executing CI and process improvement initiatives aimed at improving their manufacturing processes. They will work direclty under the VP of Maufacturing on capital and non-capial projects. Ideal candidate should have previous experience in lean manufactruing and food production, with both a strong analytical side and ability to be hands-on on the floor, talking with operators, getting equptment installed/repaired, running tests, etc..

Qualified candidates should have the following:
- 4 year engineering degree
- Lean manufacturing experience
- Green belt/black belt a plus
- 7+ years experience in high volume process based food manufacturing
- Experience working on CI initiatives aimed at improving their manufacturing processes, reducing losses, and reducing costs.
- Ability to teach manufacturing and technical concepts
- Hands on approach, being on the floor with equipment and operator
- Proficient in Excel
- Previous experience within FOOD MANUFACTURING
